Cook’s Illustrated Sticky Toffee Pudding

Two nights ago before going to bed the Husband says three words to me… sticky toffee pudding. I thought it was drowsy talk, but no he has me looking it up a few seconds later. I found an online recipe at a huge generic recipe site. He shook his head at me and said to check Cook’s Illustrated. At this point I let out a huge sigh. I have a love hate relationship with Cooks. The recipes always taste great but they always have their twists, like gather berries from the north side of the mountain and cook only under moonlight… With Little Miss being only five weeks and the fact that I have two other kids all I ever want to do is sleep, but instead I found myself making sticky toffee pudding today.

The results were amazing! I am glad that I miss out on precious sleep to make these. I feel like I have missed out in so much on life having never tried this before today. And the recipe wasn’t that crazy. I would recommend it to anyone!

Mmmmm! Would you mind telling me which issue features the recipe? And thanks for the laugh re: their frequently wacky instructions.

That looks delicious. Can you please tell me which issue this appeared in? And thanks for the laugh: Cook's can get a bit ridiculous.
