I put this off for months. As you can tell by the fact that it isn’t anywhere near Nov/Dec, but he finally got me to make it for him. I probably screwed up the meringue, but it still tasted wonderful. It took me literally days to make. There is still a tiny bit left in the refrigerator for him to enjoy. He better, because I don’t think I will be making this again any time soon:)
I think I have discussed here before about how the Husband likes to look through my Cooks Illustrated magazines. There was one, I think it was the November/December issue, which made him drool. Since then he has asked me to make him a certain cake from the magazine. I can’t even pretend to pronounce its name so I was a bit worried. He wanted a French pastry by the name of Dacquoise.
