Trier

Monday was Veteran’s Day stateside. Well it wasn’t a holiday here so we went traveling during the Husband’s day off. We went to Trier which has some cool Roman ruins. The Porta Nigra was pretty cool. It seems that at one point it was made into a church which is the only reason why the stones weren’t taken away to make something else. As a history major a few times over seeing these made me giddy.

We saw some old cathedrals too:
And walking around Trier was very nice too. We had some good food and come good times. The boys, well they had McDonald’s, but sometimes you need to pick your battles.

On the knitting side of things, still no pictures of my blanket which is now about 50% done. I do however have many ideas in dream for my knitting room once we move into our house:)
