I love Cook’s Illustrated. I get their magazine and I have a subscription to their online content. I own their cookbooks and I trust their opinion on everything cooking. The funny thing is so does the Husband. When my magazine comes in the he often looks at it before I get a chance to. This time was no exception. This month had a French Apple Cake that he latched on. Being a good wife I made it for him. I wish it were a bit sweeter, but it is by far the best looking cake that I have made. No issues, no structural failure, no funny baking. And the texture was excellent. I recommend this recipe to anyone!
