Burnt Toast

I made some fingerless gloves with some of my handspun yarn.I used the Toasty pattern. First off, I am not that big of a fan of fingerless gloves. Second, I think these turned out rather badly. My yarn was thick and thin as I am still a beginner and there are some parts where the fabric is almost threadbare because of it. I also think they just turned out plain and ugly regardless of the yarn…

    One thing I really hate about how mitt patterns are generally written is that they treat your hand like it's a uniform width the whole way (and that usually goes for the wrist and arm too). Then you end up with it being way too tight around the thumb joint. Why oh why can't they write mitts to fit a human hand? Then we wouldn't need to adapt them all the time.
